Consumer protection and ensuring legal compliance.

Some chemicals used in the production of textile and leather products are harmful to humans and the environment. Their use is partly regulated by law and is also the focus of NGOs and consumer protection groups. To support you in complying with international standards, legal requirements and your individual requirements, Hohenstein offers you a wide range of chemical tests for the qualitative and quantitative determination of harmful substances in textiles, leather articles and chemicals.

We carry out analytical laboratory tests in accordance with international or in-house Restricted Substance Lists (RSL) and Manufactured Restricted Substance Lists (MRSL) and/or test your products for harmful substances in accordance with the specifications of relevant OEKO-TEX® standards. We test e.g. textiles of all kinds as well as clothing and home textiles for you.

Testing for harmful substances is possible for raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of processing along the value chain, including chemicals for use in production. The testing service includes both the monitoring of legal conformity and the neutral assessment of product safety that goes beyond this. On the one hand, this serves operational quality assurance and optimisation and, on the other hand, contributes to the avoidance of product recalls.
